"For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth" (3 John 1:3-4).
Truth is not defined by our personal preferences or conviction. It is defined by the holy Word of God. And the most important truth in the Bible is found in John 14:6 in which Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

There is a popular view that all roads lead to heaven. From the rich and famous to the average person on the street, most will tell you all religions lead to the same place, heaven. But Proverbs 14:12 warns us, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
The truth is — not all roads, i.e., religions, are headed in the right direction. And there’s no church or denomination that can guarantee a person will enter heaven. The Bible tells us only God can do this, based on our faith in the saving work of His only Son, Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
We’re all invited to spend eternity in paradise, but we don’t get to choose which road we’ll walk down to get there. In John 14:6, Jesus affirms that He is the only way.
John’s concern, shared by every pastor today, was that his spiritual children not only acknowledge the truth of the Gospel, but that they also walk in that truth. A genuine believer's walk in truth will be marked by the integrity, humility, and generosity of the new life lived in response to God’s love, grace, and mercy.
