Lord, teach me your view of dependability. Luke 16:10-13. On this teaching of Jesus. God’s process of promotion.

Jesus turned many human theories inside out. He established new priorities and developed new procedures for progress. Today we are permitted a glimpse into God’s promotion process. How does God develop boys into men and people into professors of truth? Luke 16: 10-13 reveals that process. Decipher the pattern of God’s mind at work in human development.

Definition:

The ability to function with such stability and reliability that others can trust us to perform responsibly at all times

Good intentions are not enough.  People who make promises but don't follow through with them are unreliable. The dependable person keeps his/her promises, functions responsibly, and acts predictably. Dependable people have stable marriages and secure relationships.

The faithfulness of God is so great that we can totally rely upon Him to keep His Word.  The reason we trust God to keep His promises is because He has proven His faithfulness over and over. He is completely dependable, trustworthy, and responsible.  He has never forgotten a promise or neglected His children.

Dependability is a part of God’s essential nature and a character trait we ought always to emulate.
