Ruth 2:1-23.
On the kindness of Boaz.
The value of others. |
Elimelech and Naomi moved from
Bethlehem to Moab with their two sons to escape the famine in Judah.
As the two sons grew to manhood, Elimelech died. The sons fell in love
with and married young Moabite women. After ten years of marriage
both sons, Mahlon and Chilion, died also. Soon Naomi felt the necessity

to return to their own people to remarry. Orpha heeded her instructions,
but Ruth insisted upon staying with Naomi.
