Ask the Lord to help you today. Genesis 41:50-57. On the goodness of God to Joseph. God’s ability to help in the midst of trouble.

>Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers and ended up in Egypt.  God’s intervention brought him to the attention of the Pharaoh and eventually to a position of prominence in government.  The passage for today tells about God’s goodness during those days.

Definition:

The outward expression of sincere thankfulness, which flows from a heart that appreciates every blessing the Lord has showered down upon them.

Gratefulness is an attitude of the mind and a condition of the heart. Grateful people are happy, joyful, and see the positive side to difficult situations.  Everywhere they look and everyone they meet provides a vibrant new experience.

To be ungrateful is a life-shriveling attitude.  It causes a person to take trips without enjoying the scenery, or to eat a meal without savoring all the delicious flavors. Studies have shown ungrateful people also have more health issues.
